Cat is a rehabilitation specialist physiotherapist with a MSc in Physiotherapy, a first-class honours degree in Sports Rehabilitation and an honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science. She has been practising clinically since 2004 and has a wealth of experience in assessing, treating and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries within both sporting and non-sporting settings.
She has previously worked for GB Women’s basketball, GB Students Rugby League, Doncaster Knights Rugby club, Esher RFC, the LTA National Tennis Centre and Chelsea FC Academy. Cat also spent seven years working with injured military personnel at DMRC Headley Court, the national military rehabilitation centre specialising in amputee care, prosthetic limb use and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. Her varied background has resulted in considerable proficiency in the treatment of acute or chronic injury problems, post-surgery rehabilitation programming, rehabilitation for amputees and high-level trauma patients and also providing soft-tissue therapy for individuals pre-, post- and inter-competition.
Cat has a special interest in functional movement strategies and bases a lot of her treatment strategies and rehab programmes on the JEMS® Analysis, Rehabilitation and Training model, considering the body as a whole dynamic entity rather than one isolated area of injury.
